Interior Design: 1-Year Foundation Programme

This programme has been developed with the intention to sharpen and elevate the visualizing and styling skills of the students. The practical projects given over the year focus on how to conceptualize and design any residential spaces, in specific. Students will gain a better understanding of how to use the environment and materials around us in the process.

    Semester 1

         An introduction to the basic principles, elements, theories and process of interior designing. Students will learn various types of constructional details as applicable to interior spaces and will also study the types of materials and finishes used in interiors.

    Semester 2

         During the second semester, students will have studio classes, where they will learn to design residential spaces, which will include design process, making working drawings and presentation drawings.

Upon completion of the foundation programme, students will possess a strong, yet basic knowledge about interior designing and can confidently work in the field. They can work as color consultants, interior stylists, remodeling consultants, assistants with professionals and freelance interior designers for residential projects.
