The Undergraduate Diploma programme in Fashion Designing aims to produce dynamic design professionals who can face the challenges of the ever-changing fashion industry. The course equips them with strong creative and technical skills related to the field of fashion, which empower them to adapt to an evolving fashion biosphere. The curriculum incorporates a combination of experiential learning and hands-on training that enables a holistic development.
The first year focus on children's wear and women's wear studying in deep the fashion foundation, pattern making and garment construction, fashion illustration, fashion history, surface ornamentation and textile fundamentals.
Second year students will go through advanced garmenting techniques having access to the study and structure of the apparel industry, the design process and also advanced fashion illustration techniques with couture tailoring.
Third year focuses on men's wear particularly. Students will learn about pattern making, advanced fashion illustration techniques, creative embroideries and embellishments, decorative fabric and materials, fashion concepts and design development, promotional product development and retail marketing and visual merchandising.
